The Collider:
The CW wants to make sure its upcoming slate sounds familiar to you, with three new pilot orders based on established properties.
•Arrow – an hourlong “modern retelling” of the DC superhero comic Green Arrow
•The Carrie Diaries – a Sex and the City prequel that centers on a young Carrie Bradshaw growing up in the 1980s
•Beauty and the Beast – a modern day romance loosely based on the late 80s CBS drama led by Ron Perlman (Beast) and Linda Hamilton (Beauty)
Fight For Paradise Review: This reality show is nothing new but there are so many uncomfortable moments that will definitely give you the ick.
Brigands: The Quest For Gold Review: The Italian drama follows a group of brigands, embarking on a journey to reclaim power and some hidden gold.
Dinner with the Parents Review: It's a family comedy series following the Langers, who often turn their family dinners into a disruptively chaotic affair.
Don't mind Green Arrow (although another superhero would be more fun) and I don't mind Beauty and the Beast. That would make a very good and interesting tv show just like it did in the 80's. I've seen some of it and it is very good for what they had to work with back then.
As for Carries Dairies...I think Sex and the City has been run to ground and I really don't think I want to see a show where I hear Carries mind talking anymore while she writes or types away about her frautrations. They need to just give it a rest.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that feels that way.
