AMC’s 1960s mad men may be soon joined by some goodfellas from the same era. The cable network, home of such acclaimed series as Mad Men and Breaking Bad, has put in development a series version of one of the most praised movies of all time, the 1990 Martin Scorsese mob classic Goodfellas. Nicholas Pileggi, who wrote the movie based on his non-fiction book Wiseguy, is on board to co-write the TV series adaptation with TV writer-producer Jorge Zamacona (Homicide: Life On The Street). The two will executive produce with the film’s producer Irwin Winkler and his son David. Warner Horizon Television, the cable TV production sibling of Warner Bros., which distributed Scorsese’s film, is producing the series.

Season 1 of "Fallout" continues the trend of good video game adaptations we've seen recently, with this trying to balance the seriousness of a nuclear apocalypse with the comedy Obsidian Entertainment gave "Fallout: New Vegas."
This is all well and good but they keep bringing new series on and I'm not sure I want another one yet. I wish they would take Mad Men off. I wish they had never cancelled Rubicon but then things don't usually go the way you want them to when it comes to tv shows.
This could be excellent or terrible! I for one am very interested to see what they come up with
If anyone can makes a Goodfellas series it's AMC at this point. I'm not sure I want them to make it, but it could be good.
I don't know if we need a mobster show either but if they do it right I could get into something like that instead of a show like Mad Men...at least it would have something more interesting.
