Bradley Cooper Is Lex Luthor

Cosmic Book News says

We've been sent a tip on the new Superman movie, the Man of Steel.

Obviously we have no way to verify, so bear that in mind.

We were told after Paradise Lost bottomed out, that Bradley Cooper will appear as Lex Luthor in a cameo role in the Man of Steel. (Bradley Cooper, Cinema, Man of Steel)

I'm not convinced that he can play the role of a criminal mastermind. Bradley Cooper is an OK actor but I think there have to be better options out there.

I didn't read the article, But I'm assuming it's a rumour, because everyone knows Lex Luthor, and Bradley is not even close. Little would be nice, but not even close!

You know I like him but I've just never liked him in certain movies and that would be one of them. The other would of course be The Crow...I never thought he could pull off being Eric Draven either.

I can only assume they saw something in his reading that blew them away, because just like I would have never thought Keith ledger would be a good joker, the dark knight would prove me wrong..

So who knows.. maybe - I don't see it but I guess he is an actor, so he could surprise us..

then even even those wary of ledger's joker beforehands , usually knew he was still a stellar actor .

We have yet to see more than an ok and entertaining enough performance from Cooper . Could be it , but not yet there

Nah. As much as I didn't care for Superman Returns, Kevin Spacey is the 2nd best Lex Luthor we've had to date. The best of which is, of course, Clancy Brown.

I don't wish to see Cooper as Luthor and I SURE as hell don't want him to go anywhere near the set of The Crow.

I'd agree that Spacey was a good Luthor, but I hated the movie.

Nice call on Clancy Brown. Kevin Conroy is still the best Batman as well in my opinion.

Rosenbaum certainly did a good job as Lex but I never cared much for the writing of Smallville and felt Lex wasn't an evil, heartless douche as we've all come to know and love.

I've seen the whole series (my sister loves it and has all 10 seasons on DVD) and he never amounted to the Lex that I knew. The Lex that strangled a woman just to prove a point to a dead superman that he was back on top.

Hardly the best Spacey performance imo . It felt like he was channeling a parody of everything luthor seen on screen so far

Tom Welling is the perfect Superman and Michael Rosenbaum is the perfect Lex Luthor..

A cameo would be in set up for a prominent role in a sequel, assuming that the film is successful. Cooper's just beginning to get his big time lead roles now, can't see him wanting to tie himself to this. Not sure super villain matches up with his persona or acting abilities either.

hmm not sure about this and im just going off the looks of the micheal rosenbaum and the animated lex luthors the way they have that murdering calm look

not sure if i can see him as lex luthor but i'll need to see him bald just to be sure
