Due to last year's surprising financial success of Valentine's Day it's no shock that a little over a year later we're seeing another similarly themed holiday film with an ensemble cast. There are three major holidays that Hollywood likes to make movies around those being Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Occasionally a less celebrated holiday will be made into a film but it will usually be some kind of horror film like April Fool's Day or My Bloody Valentine. What's strange is that New Year's Eve falls into that horror category albeit unintentionally but it's nevertheless effective because it's absolutely terrifying.
