Recreator is not your typical in-the-woods horror film. Yes, three college kids arrive at a lake to do some camping and stumble across an abandoned log cabin, but it doesn't go down like you'd expect. They discover an abandoned, underground lab devoted to the 'recreation' of human beings and, when lightning strikes, they come face to face with superior versions of themselves. The film poses interesting ethical and philosophical ideas about whether you deserve to live if you squander your life. Director Gregory Orr answers some questions I had about the making of Recreator, as well as the ideas behind it.
