IGN - How I Met Your Mother has forgotten how to establish romance. The early seasons were all about romance and love triangles and it worked well. But lately, the romantic entanglements of HIMYM have left me wanting. Ted and Zoey last season were terrible, and Robin and Kevin this season have been a complete bore. The final moments of "Disaster Averted" didn't help matters, but we'll get to that. One thing, however, that How I Met continues to do well is tell a time-jumping story with cleverness and comedy. From that perspective, "Disaster Averted" was a success.
