The Lords of Salem | Movies Hate You Too

Nicholas of Movies Hate You Too writes:

A decade ago Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses was finally released after being shelved for years by its original distributor. To put it mildly I was not impressed, to be blunt I outright hated the film. Since then I've grown to mildly enjoy his other films including the 1000 Corpses’ sequel The Devil’s Rejects and both Halloween sequels. I love Rob Zombie and had a very open mind when I watched this movie. I really wanted to like it. It was a complete failure! One of the most pointless movies i've ever seen. So disappointed.

with a lot of negative reviews, the movie has an AVOID sign for those lucky enough to have not wasted their time yet...reminds me of Halloween 2, unpleasant memories of a hot summer afternoon watching a god forsaken movie.

Obviously very kubrick and lynch inspired with noticable nods to the wickerman and eyes wide shut...i say inspired cause i think its a bad attempt to adapt Zombie's directorial career aiming to steer himself part from his more regular slasher/ gore fest...i mean fair play moving over to a better style but develop your own as apose to stealing shots and scenes from the greats of the field...cause as hard as you try you can't copy kubrick
