When a character in fiction learns that they have certain powers and abilities that others don't possess, they have a choice to make: they can either use said powers and abilities for good and to help people, or they can use them for evil. Such is the story of Chronicle, a new film from director Josh Trank and writer Max Landis. Shot as a faux-documentary, the movie is about a group of three friends who acquire superpowers in the woods and go on an unexpected journey.
Check out the first trailer for the film, courtesy of MTV (apologies to our international friends).

Raised on a strict diet of Jackie Chan, Donnie Yen and Yuen Woo Ping, I was spoiled from an early age. I’ll eagerly admit to a slight(ly huge) bias for The Fight Scene. My tastes lean towards those of the fist and the foot and the knee and the elbow. More so if they are jumping and/or spinning.
A connoisseur? Likely, but I’m equally guilty of gluttony. Often I’m just as content to chow down on chasing cars, crashing choppers, spitfire ballistics and Exploding Explosions that Explode!!!"
