“Willem Dafoe as the Joker!” “Willem Dafoe as the Joker!” For the longest time, fans have been campaigning to see the American-Italian actor as The Clown Prince of Crime in a Batman film.
The 2018 movie At Eternity's Gate explored the impressionist painter’s life, especially the period where he lived in Aries and Auvers-sur-Oise, France.
The movie was refreshing, intriguing and thanks to its stellar cast, immensely engaging. Willem Dafoe, portraying Vincent van Gogh, is not the only actor playing a real person, he is joined by peers who portray people around van Gogh. Let’s take a look at who plays who in At Eternity’s Gate.
He has done some great performances, but i think his work is very under-appreciated.

Dafoe is an impressive actor and 1 of my favorites alongside Bryan Cranston.
No mention of Boondock Saints? Auto fail! I think that one has to be my favorite role of his hands-down. He did very well in Shadow of the Vampire and Last Temptation. But I'd easily put Boondock Saints above any of the other choices. And would easily be battling for first with the previously two mentioned.
