The Trailer for The Raven Revealed

Coming Soon says:

The trailer for for director James McTeigue's The Raven has been revealed today, which is Edgar Allan Poe's "death day."

In this gritty thriller, Edgar Allen Poe (John Cusack) joins forces with a young Baltimore detective (Luke Evans) to hunt down a mad serial killer who's using Poe's own works as the basis in a string of brutal murders. The film also stars Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson and Oliver Jackson-Cohen.

Edgar Allen Poe is a strange guy but I really like his writing and I gotta say that I like John Cusack. Put this on my list of movies I need to see.

I definitely like Cusack. He's one of those ones I'll usually tend to give the movie a try if he's in it.

And of course, James McTeigue did V for Vendetta so I definitely have interest in seeing more from him. And this looks like it could lean more towards that (rather than Ninja Assassin).

And of course Poe always provides for some interesting tales. Of course this isn't based on anything he wrote, but rather a fictional account of his life. But the serial killer is supposed to be killing based on Poe's works, so could be interesting to see what all they do there.

This is the same trailer they showed at SDCC, so nothing new for me. But definitely looks like it could be moderately interesting. I don't think it's going to be great or on par with V for Vendetta, but should be entertaining, and I will be checking it out at some point.

I myself think it will be as good as V for Vendetta and maybe even better. This type of movie is more intriguiging to me and I loved Edgar Allen Poe when I was in school so this is right down my alley.

"This looks quite awful. I understand that this is a big film, possibly a PG-13 mystery thriller for the family and all,but ugh, Edgar Allen Poe was an impoverished, clinically depressed drunk who drank himself to death. I like that he is now a sauve, womanizing hero. WHere Shit, it'd be mighty awesome if the ghost of his dead 13 year old wife/cousin was his sidekick in this. I enjoy fictional, fantastical reimaginings of real people/events, but there should be at least some nod or acknowledgement to reality. Baltimore looks a lot like Victorian london there. This is a dumb movie for dumb people just like Guy Ritchie's bloated piece of shit."

"My lord, it looks dreadful, cliche, boring and way the fuck too glossy. Ewwwwww."

" I guess if they can turn Pocahontas into a family film they can do this to Poe...."

Above:comments that suits this awful trailer and not that what u guys above my comment said.ffs.
