California OKs Only One-Year Extension Of Film-TV Tax Credits

California's film and television tax incentive program was extended for another year. It wasn't the five years the industry was hoping for, but that one year could expand to more next year to allow California to continue competing against rival areas. The program has brought $3.8 billion in economic output and supported 20,040 jobs since it was created back in 2009, and with this new extension, California is still open for filmmaking.

California should be the #1 production location. It's a bigger shame for them to lose so much business to other countries.
