The Gangster Squad, about the LAPD's real efforts to take back the town from a ruthless mob boss, has begun principal photography in Los Angeles. It's scheduled to hit theaters in 2013 and is being directed by Zombieland's Ruben Fleischer. The infamous mob boss at the heart of the story is played by Sean Penn, but the rest of the cast isn't comprised of unknowns. Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Michael Peña and Giovanni Ribisi are just a few that are helping bring this movie to life.
