Dan Aykroyd and Judy Belushi (John’s ex-wife) have long owned the TV rights to The Blues Brothers. Thirty-three years after the characters first debuted on Saturday Night Live, they are finally planning to do something with those rights. Variety reports Belushi, Anne Beatts, Wayne Catania, and Kieron Lafferty have scripted a pilot that centers on Elwood’s search for his father after he and Jake are released from jail. Two new actors will play Elwood and Jake, but Aykroyd will lend his voice to the parole officer. As Beatts puts it, “We’re not trying to replicate Dan and John but Jake and Elwood.” If the pilot goes to series, each episode will include a musical number, which led Beatts to this inane pitch:
“It would be Route 66 meets Glee, and it all goes to hell in a handbasket.”

I can't honestly say I want this. I think they did enough damage to this classic film with Blues Brothers 2000, why does it need a show. I think it's better off left alone.
I agree..as much as I loved the original one with the two of them I really don't think they could do it justice.
darklord is right they should just leave this movie/s alone now if they want money just release it in the movies or better yet bundle the two put it on blu ray and bam! instait money as they would have my money (when i have sum lol)
Good idea gdogg666! Actually I think a night at the movie for The Blues Brothers would be kind of fun. I love it when they say "We're on a mission from God" I think people would actually go see it.
