Jeremy of The Daily Rotation wrote, "A remake of the 1973 movie of the same name, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark is both a spooky and chilling film with a very tense atmosphere, creepy music and believable performances by Katie Holmes and Guy Pearce. Most of the praise should be directed towards three people. The first being Bailee Madison, who plays the scared child stalked by the scary little monsters and the second and third being director Troy Nixey and writer/producer Guillermo del Toro. All three mix together and deliver a very haunting horror film that focuses on scaring your pants off with buildup and tension and not just splashes of blood and gore."
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
Nekki has announced that the forthcoming gun fu game, SPINE, will receive a movie adaptation to expand the franchise.
apparently im seeing this no matter what
I don't have any expectations other than the fact that Del Toro's name is slapped all over this thing and he always does amazing work.
Never been much of a Katie Holmes fan but I've seen the child actor in a few movies and she's pretty decent. Won't be catching this in theaters but I'll definitely be downloading it.
