Will Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Get An R Rating?

Jeremy of The Daily Rotation wrote, "This question has been pondering in my skull ever since we saw the trailer for the film, which can be viewed here. Now I know what you’re thinking, Marvel only gives there smaller, more unknown characters like Blade and Punisher the R-rating. They would never gamble a character like Ghost Rider on the R because you might be able to appeal to kids and get a shit ton of toys out of the deal and perhaps because the character is rendered in CGI, which isn’t cheap. But I can’t help but think that maybe they’re willing to take a chance on this one or maybe they just don’t care enough to enforce their usual PG13 rating policy for comic book movies."

With Neveldine/Taylor, I'm hoping it will be rated R.

This is a full sequel and not a reboot right? I don't follow news about Ghost Rider much.

I'm pretty sure it's a sequel. Nicolas Cage is in it.

Yeah, I'm assuming it will be a sequel with a whole new path in front of it. The only thing from the first one will be Cage, so don't be surprised if there is a completely different tone or angle. Sort of like Punisher: War Zone, but with the same leading man!

i think it might be a reboot...they just happened to get nic cage again for the role

Yes...it's a sequel...it happens 5 years after the first one and he's had trouble dealing with the curse so he kinda goes dark side a little. I think it's going to be a lot better than the first and really good.
