Tom Heistuman: It hurts to admit this, but I went to the movie theater less in 2011 than I ever have in the ten years since I started working and could afford to go whenever I wanted. It wasn't necessarily the quality of the movies in 2011 but more the lack of ambition. I just didn't feel like I needed to go and see that many movies. With that being said, I will use my favorite movies from last year to illustrate what I would like to see more of in 2012.
Flix66 - When I originally heard about OUR IDIOT BROTHER I was tentative. The trailer really didn’t excite me but my love for Paul Rudd (ANCHORMAN, I LOVE YOU MAN) kept my interest. The Blu-ray release brought back the feelings of dread, but I am happy to say that OUR IDIOT BROTHER holds its own in the genre and proves that actors can really pull a script (even a weak one) together. Is it one of the best movies of the year? No. Is Ned one of the nicest characterizations Rudd has brought to the screen? Absolutely.
