Uday Hussein (Dominic Cooper – Tamara Drewe) is a sadistic power-hungry man. He threatens to kill the family of an old school-friend named Latif (Dominic Cooper) unless he agrees to become his body double. Any important figurehead wants a double to pose as him for official events and to be a target for potential assassinations. In turn, Latif finds the glamorous lifestyle of the rich and famous a bewitching reality even though he hates Uday and his evil ways. When Uday’s girlfriend Sarrab (Ludivine Sagnier – Mesrine) takes a liking to him, Latif starts a dangerous relationship that could spell the end for everyone.

Netflix has added several new releases to its Streaming stable; some are misguided and rather disappointing action flicks but a couple of the smaller films are worth checking out. In regards to Netflix’s catalog lineup they’ve added some baseball themed films for the push towards the playoffs, several 70′s horror films, some 80′s teen action, a bizarre mix of 90′s classics, and some ‘thrilling’ B-movies. July isn’t a banner month for new additions but it’s a step in the right direction.
Dominic Cooper takes on the role of Uday Hussain (Saddam’s son) and Latif Yahia, his body double, in this true tale of corruption, deception and lust. The film jumps in to where Latif is taken into the palace of Uday and forced to live an alternate life and never to see his family again. As most may be aware, or at least could hazard a guess, Latif does all in his power to achieve freedom and flee from this perverse world he has been coerced in to.
