In 1973 a baby chimpanzee named Nim Chimpsky became the subject of an extended study of animal language acquisition. Funded by Columbia University and headed by Dr Herbert Terrace, Project Nim posed the question “What if a chimp was brought up by humans from birth? Could they learn, understand and use sign language to communicate with us?” This documentary charts the complete story of Nim and the findings of this radical experiment.

Looks like it could be brilliant. Being able to hold a conversation with another species would be insane.

Definitely shot up to my must watch list.

It's facinating. Also on my to do list. It takes an enormous amount of patience to do something like that. I don't think I could have done it even with knowledge and skill.
