Denis Leary Talks 'Amazing Spider-Man'

The Rescue Me star discusses working with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone on the new film.

Denis Leary spoke at the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour today, to promote the final episodes of Rescue Me. Of course there was no way we weren't going to also ask him about his role as George Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man, which Leary noted he'd jumped right into when Rescue Me ended. Leary joked that his plan was to "ride Spider-Man. I'm doing Spider-Man 4, 5 and 6!"

I know some people are ready for a new spiderman but this feels weird. I'm not at all hyped up for this like i was the other films. This is just way to soon to reboot the franchise.

Spider man has been hugely popular with all age groups so it made a lot of money so they will continue to produce

It's just going to be so different being with a different all different cast playing characters that we've already seen as other people...that's what I always have trouble getting used to. It will take a little adjustment I suppose or maybe I'll never like it...I won't know until I give it a chance.
