Hero Complex/LA Times says:
Green Lantern may have a future on the big screen, but likely not with the same director.
Despite the big-budget superhero movie’s disappointing box office performance so far, Warner Bros. executives still want to find a way to make a sequel work. Bringing superheroes from its DC Comics unit to the big screen is a top priority for the studio, and executives believe that the problem with “Green Lantern” was in execution, not concept. They even have ideas on how to turn things around next time.
Nekki has announced that the forthcoming gun fu game, SPINE, will receive a movie adaptation to expand the franchise.

Stolen Review: Elle Márjá Eira makes an attempt at creating a story revolving Sámi people of Sweden.
Just hand out more in space and take full advantage of the cast of character available to you. That's all. I liked the acting in the first flick (even Blake Lively, though her character was totally useless). I really only blame the film's problems on the script and story. It was a total mess. They had all the good elements but the story couldn't hold it together.
As long as the SCRIPT is better than I'll check out a sequel. The first one was so damn boring, when it should have been fun!
Green Lantern was a good movie, and that 53 million dollar opening was solid, and it has yet to open in all of its territories so we'll see there. I'm excited to see another go-around at it. Ryan Reynolds did a good job as Hal Jordan. DC should get more control like how Marvel has gotten more control over its films from Iron Man and beyond.
Green Lantern really was pretty good. The problem is: it's green lantern. Most people don't know anything about him, and those who do might not have great impressions of him from other media. If they want to make more money, they have to make a good movie AND make some really awesome trailers. Make the public think it's going to be awesome and then deliver on that.
