Marcus Aquila (Channing Tatum – Fighting) is a young solider looking to bring honour back to his family name. His father was one of the Roman soldiers responsible for safe-guarding the Golden Eagle Of The 9th, a status-symbol of Rome’s all-conquering dominance in the world. When the Romans invaded England and ventured north, the Eagle was stolen and the men guarding it disappeared without a trace. So tarnished with the legacy of having lost the emblem of Rome, Marcus opts to be stationed in Britain for his first commanding post in a bid to find The Eagle. With the unlikely help of a slave named Esca (Jamie Bell – Billy Elliot), Marcus aims to bring honour back to his family name whatever the cost.
