Push-Start Review - Transformers: Dark of the Moon

I have no doubt that Transformers the source material is great family entertainment, on top of that the first movie in Bay’s trilogy looks more and more like a glossed up Disney Channel special compared to the 2009 monstrosity and this dose of repugnant dirge, at least you could show it to your kids. Worse though is the fact that the film spends so much of its time wallowing in crass insincerity that when it tries to pull your heartstrings, you are just confused. Nothing feels genuine or honest, just corrosive and vile. You come out thinking the human soul is a dirty, vapid evil pit and you wonder if the movie was lying to you. A very discomforting notion, better eyemuff the kids.
