( 2011 WWE Money in the Bank PPV Review

Arcee: Airing live from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, just outside of Chicago, the WWE held their second annual Money in the Bank pay-per-view on Sunday, July 17, 2011. This year’s MITB card had six matched on schedule with four of those matches coming into the event with eager and curious eyes waiting in anticipation on the outcomes. None more so than what was to be the main event at the PPV, the WWE Championship match between challenger, CM Punk, and champion, John Cena. With Punk having announced that Sunday would be his last day with the company and threatening to leave the WWE as champion to defend the title in other promotions, it was up to the WWE’s current face of the company, John Cena to stop him. If he could not defeat Punk and let him walk out of the WWE with the coveted belt, Cena was told by none other than WWE CEO Vince McMahon that he would be fired on the spot.
