He is one of the more respected and underrated actors working today. Having worked on over 75 films, Dafoe has taken on a variety of roles, though he’s often considered as one who plays eccentric characters. Over the course of his career, he has indeed come to play many interesting characters and give life to said characters that entertain us all. So, today I plan on listing my favorite characters played by one of the finest character actors today: Willem Dafoe.

The 2018 movie At Eternity's Gate explored the impressionist painter’s life, especially the period where he lived in Aries and Auvers-sur-Oise, France.
The movie was refreshing, intriguing and thanks to its stellar cast, immensely engaging. Willem Dafoe, portraying Vincent van Gogh, is not the only actor playing a real person, he is joined by peers who portray people around van Gogh. Let’s take a look at who plays who in At Eternity’s Gate.
Boondock Saints is one of my favorites.
he was hilarious in the life aquatic. i also think he did a real good job in boondock saints but i'm one of those that doesn't quite get the big deal about the movie. it was ok but nothing great. i'd put his role in shadow of the vampire as one of his better ones.
