Guardian writes:
Bob Hoskins, 68, was born in Bury St Edmunds and raised in London. Having left school at 15, he worked as a porter, lorry driver and window cleaner. In 1968, he accompanied a friend to a play audition and ended up with the lead. Ten years later, he starred in his first TV drama, Dennis Potter's Pennies From Heaven, and in 1980 he made his major film debut with The Long Good Friday. He went on to star in The Cotton Club in 1984 and Mona Lisa in 1986, a performance that earned him an Oscar nomination. He is in Neverland, a Peter Pan prequel, on Sky Movies Premiere HD on 8 and 15 July.

We're very sad to report that Bob Hoskins, who starred in the likes of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Hook, Brazil and in his final role, Snow White and the Huntsman, has died from pneumonia at age 71

I absolutely adore Bob Hoskins and am sad he won't be on screen anymore, but I wish him all the best, that's for sure.
THR:
There are no small parts in Hollywood. But these days there are plenty of dwarf roles to go around.
Universal is ramping up its casting of the warrior dwarfs in its high-profile Snow White and the Huntsman action adventure movie, with Eddie Izzard, Bob Hoskins and Toby Jones in negotiations to board the movie.
Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes) and Steven Graham are in negotiations to play dwarves in the film as well.
Love Eddie Izzard so I'm sure he'll make a good Dwarf but I don't know about the others. I'm still up in the air about this whole thing. I know I'll probably be surprised at the results when it finally comes out but we'll see.
Too bad they didn't cast Eddie Izzard as Malificent - now there is a movie I'd pay to see!
Not his fault it turned out to be horrible. He was just doing his job ;)
lol 3 stars on IMBD =O Didn't know it was that bad. Intresting interview though.
What song would you like played at your funeral?
Play what you like, I won't be there.
What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
It's your life, live it your way.
I loved Super Mario the movie. Especially the car chase, which I call the Mario Kart sequence.
