Like most Dreamworks Animated titles, 2008’s Kung Fu Panda was cute fun. It was never outstanding and after watching it you knew that deep in its foundations was a better movie trying to get out. Well after 3 years of production Dreamworks has come good on that initial building block. Featuring a bigger budget and more stars the makers have really brought their “A” game to the table.
As the scene and the majority of the characters are in place from the first one it is easy to just get straight to business. In what can only be described as a spectacular opening sequence that tips its hat to Cool Hand Luke and Hero, Kung Fu Panda 2 ups its game from the tip-off. Outside of the lush and beautiful visuals that initially greet you, a sensational 3D experience also awaits the viewer. This is the real deal and unlike Thor and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides it really is worthwhile catching this in 3D.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
