The first image of the new, CG-animated Asterix has made its way online, over at the Facebook page of Lyricis Interactive. Looks like something photographed on a wall or a brochure, and most likely in the market place at Cannes.

French actor and Russian citizen Gerard Depardieu will star as Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin in a planned movie with the working title Le divan de Staline (Stalin's Sofa).
French actress and director Fanny Ardant is set to direct the movie, based on French author Jean-Daniel Baltassat's 2013 novel of the same name.
That looks HILARIOUS!!!
For those of you who don't know Asterix and Obelix are french characters and they were actually quite big here in Canada and in France.
That Asterix looks like some kind of horrifying drag queen.. GOSH!
