I did watch the show...I'm a big fan but Ashton has never been one of my type of people. I know....all the women go gaga over him but I've never liked him. I didn't like him in the 70's show and I don't like his romantic comedies....there's just something about him that bugs me. I really don't think his humor comes naturally. With some people, it just flows out of them.

I'm really, really disappointed if this goes thru.

He was great in the early shows. It wasn't till in the later episodes when him and (Erik) started getting ego's that it turned around. Then it seemed like he was forcing it more and acting to be stupid.

And that show will be cancelled in a year. Worst decision ever. Charlie Sheen fans I can guarantee you do not like Mr. only talented enough for Nikon commercials who likes to bag grandmothers. Seriously, well if he plays a douche bag he'll be perfect for the part.

I like Two and Half Men and I like Ashton Kutcher. Even though he's really not that good of an actor he's got a vibe that people respond to....ahem....well a lot of people respond to, apparently none of you do though. I think he can pull off whatever they throw at him, he's grown. I expect it to be like a roommate or something because Allan can't afford the beach house. Whatever it is I'm sure it will be funny and I hope they can keep up the good work.

I could have gone for Hugh Grant as a replacement...but I not Ashton.

I also don't think they should bring Charlie back unless he straighens up....like he was in the begining. Anyone could tell he was going down hill the last year. HE even looked and acted different on the episodes.

I give it another season and it will get cancelled.

This show won't survive. I never saw what people liked about it in the first place, as with most sitcoms, but I think this will definitely lead to its downfall.

Watch Seinfeld. Best show of all time. It just puts all tv shows/movies to shame.

I've seen every episode of Seinfeld at least 5 times. I watched it while it was still airing and I've seen plenty of reruns in all the years since it ended.

"Most" sitcoms do nothing for me. =P

lol Not sure what all the Kutcher hate is either. I don't mind him. Not my favorite by any means, but nobody I ever had a problem with.

I never got into Two and a Half Men either, though. The few episodes I saw weren't horrible, just wasn't ever anything I could truly get into.

I didn't mind Kutcher in The 70s Show, he could do well enough as a replacement to Sheen, I guess. Personally, never liked Sheen anyway and never watched the show, so I'm unaffected by any change to the show :)

I think the only thing I liked him in was That 70's Show.

I was never real big on Sheen either. I think this show is gonna end up bombing regardless of the replacement. No matter who they pick, I think too many people are gonna be of the "it's still not Sheen" mindset.

I'm with you here. When they announced him I was interested to say the very LEAST about it. Then I go into public and on the internet and its like constant "ASHTON SUCKS WHO AGREES?!?!?!"

Come on give the man a chance. He has really grown lately. maybe TV is what he needs as his movies have short bursts of quality in them, they just cant stretch that for an hour and half.

What I wanna know is, they say 'replacing' Charlie Sheen but does that mean he's gonna act as Charlie in the show or will he be a new character?

i've loved this show in the past and i'm sorta glad they're bringing it back...but with ashton..hmm...some ally chick already stated someting that would work like if he's a roommate and an extra character BUT he can't replace sheen. i'm not sure anyone can really.

I bet it plays out similar to the office. He will be another roommate or a third brother from another dad etc...but he is just temperate there to gain attention and will leave. Just like Will Farrel is getting fired on the office.

You know they are paying Ashton a pretty penny, probably just as much if not more than Sheen.

doubtful ashton needs this more than sheen did when he was on. and the office i thought was always terrible--exception: Diversity Days episode from like one of the way earlier seasons and i didnt' know that will ferrel was desperate enough to join the office ever...that's bad news cuz he was always one of my favorite comedians. celebrity jeopardy i mean come on between that and all the liners from anchorman might just be some of the most quoted lines EVER...unless you go as far back as johnny carson who was also fantastic.

Farrel looked old on Conan. Don't get me wrong i like him too, i think he is funny as hell, but I think his age is starting to kick in and he knows it. His new movie is really laid back compared to what he normally does. On Conan he wasn't as energetic, and relied more on dialogue to help him.

I find it kinda sad because he is the only guy since the 90's to keep his high end energy. Adam Sandler doesn't do it anymore either.

I think if they were smart, when the show starts up again it will be entirely focused on the kid. This will allow them to create a new show based on the kid. Where he is In COLLEGE acting like sheens character...

That would be way more interesting than seeing some 50 year old guy flirting with old women that are not even hot or have boob jobs and last maybe two episodes.....Hopefully Ashton brings younger women with him too, otherwise why bother?
