CEO of ENCOM Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges – Crazy Heart) has been missing for many years now. His son Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund – Eragon) is now 27 years old and has a controlling stake in the company but has no interest in stepping into his father’s shoes - much to the dismay of Kevin’s oldest friend Alan Bradley (Bruce Boxleitner – Tron). Alan visits Sam one evening telling him that he has received a page from Flynn’s old arcade – even though it’s been uninhabited since he disappeared. So Sam goes to investigate and unwittingly transports himself into The Grid, a virtual world where his father may be trapped in.
