CWDC: Hanna isn't more than a few fight scenes interspersed with a few chase scenes even though we get teases and hints at the movie becoming more than that. Director Joe Wright and the writing team of Seth Lochhead and David Farr do a decent job dropping in facts and information about the mystery behind Hanna and her exile, but I felt like I was watching a parody of a B-movie I would see late at night on Cinemax or TMC.
LRA writes: Our efforts to avert disaster by avoiding this past weeks horrible offerings were only partially successful when our back up films turned out to be no better with only a couple exceptions. Other than Brian, who played a bit of catch up this week by explaining why both Hanna and Rango were two of last years best films, James and I found ourselves on the complete opposite side of the spectrum with our film choices which include the new fantasy/adventure Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and the comedy(?) Tim & Eric's Billion Dollar Movie. We also find some time to cover some recent television shows we have been watching as well as our thoughts on the 84th Academy Awards show. Featured music this week is from the album "Journey's Greatest Hits" and the "Rango" motion picture soundtrack.
