Brazil is the destination as director Carlos Saldanha sends a domesticated bird away from his Minnesota home to return to the land of his birth. Blu's (Jesse Eisenberg) breed of macaw is dying out, and with just one female remaining, Jewel (Anne Hathaway), he's whisked off to meet her in the hope of preserving the species. This is a vibrant, colourful and sensational samba adventure that's entertaining right from the opening musical number.
