Arnold Schwarzenegger is Back as 'The Governator'

EW Says:

He’s been a famous body builder. He’s been a killer cyborg from the future. He’s been Governor of California. And now, in this week’s exclusive cover scoop, Arnold Schwarzenegger reveals his plans for the next phase of his extraordinary career: He’s going be a cartoon superhero, known as The Governator. “When I ran for governor back in 2003 and I started hearing people talking about ‘the Governator,’ I thought the word was so cool,” Schwarzenegger, 63, tells EW in his first press interview since leaving office last January.

Say it aint so Arnie - This has all the markings of a monumental failure.

Yi-Long4772d ago

... this is just an early April Fool's prank.

darklordzor4772d ago

Hmmm...I do wonder about that. Some people are very notorious for that. You make a good point.

rockleex4772d ago (Edited 4772d ago )

Well he's been successful at every career path he's chosen so far...

Even if this fails, "he'll be back". :P

darklordzor4772d ago

Holy crap...of all the things he could have chosen to do, this is what he goes with? Geez, this is going to suck. I was really hoping he'd pull something together for another Predator movie or something!

Christopher4772d ago

So, essentially Arnold skipped the whole "Who Wants to be a Superhero?" process and went straight into taking a cheesy comic book character to production?

Crazay4772d ago

Sadly that's what it looks like from this vantage point.

darklordzor4772d ago

Yep pretty much...I really hate this. Mostly I hate that his first real acting endeavor in several years is probably going to just flop. Who knows, maybe I'm being too cynical here.

Soldierone4772d ago

Spoiler? I gotta say this made me laugh a little. It wasn't really believable at first, but I didn't want to comment it too soon so the article would allow other people to look past the joke.

A lot of websites do these jokes a bit early, as releasing an article like this tomorrow would make it blatantly obvious.

If it is real then by all means I hope its a comedy lmao.

darklordzor4772d ago

Very true sir. Many don't do it on the day anymore, because it is too obvious, but hopefully we'll hear tomorrow. Honestly I'm sort of dreading tomorrow, because I'm not sure which news I'll be able to trust!

Soldierone4772d ago

I can't wait to see what IGN cooks up haha

JL4772d ago

Just an FYI, please don't post blatant April Fools jokes today. It will be such a mess for me to clean up when I come back later tonight. I'm not exactly sure this one is a joke, though I would hope so. But this is getting ran everywhere now, it's in the Associated Press and everything, so I'm not sure.
