Slashfilm: The speculation is over and sometimes, rumors are true. Variety is reporting that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is indeed playing Alberto Falcone, of former mob boss Carmine Falcone (Tom Wilkinson) in Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight Rises. We knew that Gordon-Levitt was cast in the film in early February and we speculated that the role could be Falcone a few days after. Carmine Falcone was a major villain in Nolan’s 2005 film Batman Begins and his son, Alberto, is believed to be Holiday, the main villain in one of Nolan’s favorite and most referenced Batman stories: The Long Halloween. With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
If this turns out to be true, the only thing fans can say is "Called it!" Everyone has already assumed that's the role he'd be playing and it's so perfect to wrap up the trilogy. Can't freakin wait!
I couldn't be more underwhelmed by this revelation. I actually want to see a classic character from the Batman. I would have much preferred to see The Riddler, Harley Quinn or even Hugo Strange.
@ Crazay,
I would have much rather seen the Riddler as well, but at the same time Alberto Falcone really works well too. It ties in perfectly with the first film and should wrap up this trilogy.
I'm not sure. EW says he's not playing Alberto, but at the same time, they didn't say who he is playing.
