Noam Murro To Direct 'Die Hard 5'

Deadline:
Die Hard 5 is moving toward the start gate at 20th Century Fox. I’m told the studio will set Noam Murro to direct the film that has been scripted by Skip Woods. They will continue to develop the script. While Murro directed the Sarah Jessica Parker-starrer Smart People for Miramax. Murro really impressed Fox brass with his most recent campaign for the Halo video game.

From 'Smart People' to 'Die Hard 5'? Hmm I don't know about this. I haven't seen the Halo thing. And other than Smart People he really has no other credits to his name, so can't really make a judgment on him.

I was quite shocked when i read this but the trailers for halo which are at http://www.youtube.com/watc... and http://www.youtube.com/watc... if you're interested are quite cool. It will be interesting to see how it turns out that's for sure

I guess I can get excited, but a movie with Bruce Willis hasn't excited me for a long time.

The trailers didn't really do anything but they were cool looking and got the point across at least. I dunno how that would show us he can do a story or a feature length though.

Personally the new Resistance 3 trailers are much better because they t ell a story within the minute or so of film they have.

Its Die Hard so its really hard to mess up. The cast, especially Willis, will be helping whoever takes it over so im not too worried. Im more interested in the story and screenwriter than anything.

He already showed us he can direct visuals quite well.

Well the writer leaves me kind of wondering as well. They say there that Skip Woods wrote the script. I enjoyed Swordfish that he wrote. X-Men Origins: Wolverine was alright but not as good as the X-Men movies. I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I didn't hate Hitman either. But it wasn't great by any means. And The A-Team sucked.

Of course they say here that they're continuing to develop the script so I'm sure others will come in and polish it up. Just not sure who.

I wasn't too fond of Hitman and the A Team was so boring to me. The only "team" movie I liked this year was The Losers because it actually had a story and wasn't all about the stars.

Now I am kinda worried haha.

lol Yea I knew I was in the minority with Hitman. Not to say it was a great film by any stretch of the imagination. I just didn't hate it. I kinda like Timothy Olyphant too, so that helped.

I didn't enjoy The Losers alright myself as well.

I don't think you can ever go wrong with more John McClane. I don't know who that director is but I don't think Bruce Willis would allow the legacy to be screwed up really.
