As part of my “Top 25 Anticipated Movies of 2011″ article, I had initially intended to add a bonus indies list at the end of Part 1. However, that list quickly became too long, warranting its own article. So keeping in the spirit of looking ahead to a new year of cinema, I present to you 11 indie film to look out for in 2011.
Now, these movies may or may not be receiving actual theatrical releases this year, however, they will be shown at various film festivals, including this month’s Sundance Film Festival. Also, a few indie films like Kevin Smith’s Red State and the Bourne-esque thriller Hanna were included in my most anticipated movies list. So, those will not be included in this one. Consider this just an additional 11 indie films to watch out for. So, without further ado, 11 indie films you should keep an eye out for through the coming year.
