I think Knoxville would actually be perfect for a slapstick role like this. In the pic there he even looks alright (in a really stupid Dumb and Dumber kind of way) for the part of Moe. Andy Samberg I guess could pull off the part, as well as the look for Larry. And as for Jacobson, if he shaves his head and face, he could look the part. Though I've never seen him in anything, so I don't know how well he'd do in the role.

Here's something to note though, and my problem with that casting. Knoxville and Samberg look like younger versions of the Stooges. While Jacobson looks a bit older like a more exact portrayal of the Curly character. I would be like mixing "young" and "grown up" versions when looking at them. Not that Jacobson is older, he just looks older in comparison to Knoxville and Samberg.

I don't know, just doesn't feel right, maybe if I saw them all together and in character it would be different.

Something else to note, Jacobson actually is listed for the role on IMDb, but the other two are not.

This is a really good pairing if they are going to make it completely stupid humor. Not that its bad, just dont see it being done any other way.

Well yea, I don't think there's any other way to do it. I really don't see any way to make an intelligently-humored Stooges movie. After all, their trademark was extreme slapstick and physical comedy. That means, by definition, it has to be stupid. Like I said, Knoxville would be perfect for slapstick stuff like this.

I love the casting of Knoxville for Moe. I actually really like the idea of a Stooges movie especially since I've recently been re-introduced to the characters in recent weeks during a sleepless night on AMC.
