Ugh...No enthusiasm. They messed up the first story pretty bad, and the film itself just felt disjointed and sloppy. If the movie they based on a great story didn't work out, how well can a sequel (in which they'll have to make up their own story) really do?

I've heard this too which could be why I haven't rushed home to watch it. Can it really be that bad? I can't honestly say that I'm even a fan of the original because it's been so long since I saw it. Do you think that if I were to watch the 2010 version before the 1980s version it would be enjoyable for me?

It's not a terrible, terrible movie. I say it's worth a rental. It's got some fun action, but the story is cut way short.

Honestly it looked to me, like they had this great movie, but then they got to the editing bay and started chopping it up in order to fit a certain time-frame. There were elements where I could just tell a scene was longer and explained more, but it cut off.

The result was a choppy story that didn't make as much sense, and characters that you never cared for...at all. I was a big fan of the original, but that's why I was so excited to see this one.

I actually didn't hate the movie as much as most seem to have. I thought it was a fun enough movie. Granted it is more of a rental type movie, but it's wasn't horrible for me. It was fun. I've also never seen the original version though, so maybe that helps to not raise expectations like it seemed to have done for others.

Omg this movie is horrible...Darklordzor you better than me because i went to see it at mid night launch & I was floored by the movie script & acting this should be a straight to dvd title.

More than likely you're probably right. This should be a direct to DVD. Unfortunately we're going to have to endure this in the theaters.
