Uber Lycans in 'Underworld: New Dawn'

BD:
Sony Screen Gems is getting ready to roll on the fourth Underworld film that we've learned is tentatively titled Underworld 4: New Dawn. In addition, we did a little digging and were able to conjur up the actual plot that was hidden until now: "After being held in a coma-like state for fifteen years, vampire Selene (Kate Beckinsale) learns that she has a fourteen-year-old vampire/Lycan hybrid daughter, Nissa, and when she finds her they must stop BioCom from creating super Lycans that will kill them all." I'm hoping the film follows the beats of TMNT II: The Secret of the Ooze (kidding). Swedish directors Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein will be taking the helm with a planned release on January 20, 2012 in 3-D. Casting is underway.

Sounds a lot like a Twilight movie title. I guess that makes sense. Since they both deal with Vampires vs. Werewolves they are going to try and bring in some of that crowd. At least this one has plenty of action.

Well now that you mentioned it, it does sound a lot like a (Twilight) movie name.

After seeing the first 3 films I think maybe the story has really finished itself. The whole vampire story is resolved. Beckinsale is great as the lead though.

I didn't really care for the last one. I'm glad to see them getting back to modern times, and Kate Beckinsale is reason enough for me to watch it.

She, be herself, gave me a new respect for vampires and their kind. Thank goodness for vampires.

I'm glad to see fellow fans of this franchise. Granted the franchise isn't anything spectacular, but I've rather enjoyed it and it's fairly decent. Not great films, but entertaining movies. And I definitely have a thing for Kate. The soundtrack on these movies are usually pretty cool too.

I too didn't like the last one (which is weird cause a lot of people talk about that being their favorite). It just didn't do it for me though. Plus the absence of Kate just ruined it. I'll be happy to see her back, and should be interesting to see how the story plays out here.

I have loved all three Underworld movies so far, Rise of The Lycans was fab, but glad to see Kate returning for the 4th, love her character

Me & My brother both are a huge fan of the Underworld Series & i am very excited about this upcoming Underworld Movie, Hopefully it would be as good as the First 3.

If you like this series, I'd also recommend another series from Russia. Only two of the three films are out yet. They're both done by Timur Bekmambetov. The first is called Night Watch. The second is Day Watch.

I think in general, the majority of people say they're mediocre/average at best movies, much like they say about the Underworld franchise. But I like Underworld...and me and my brother loved Night Watch and Day Watch.

The only film I like about Russia has to be From Russia, with Love. My favorite Bond film.

-Mezzo-4900d ago

I will certainly try to find them, Indie movies are very hard to find here, where i live but i'll try my best to get a hold of Both Movies.

Thank A Lot For The Recommendation.

Or i'll just coughdownloadcough them.,

Meh, Im getting tired of how Vampires vs Werewolves have become a bit too mainstream because of Twilight.

Underworld was in before Twilight..

Agreed, and it criminal to compare Underworld with Twilight crap.
