A look at how Hereafter might fare at the box office this coming weekend, following its limited release last week.
Testament The Story of Moses Review: The series depicts Moses' journey from an outcast and murderer to a prophet and liberator of the Hebrews. It interweaves docudrama and interviews, to present a more humanly image of the prophet.
Rest In Peace Review: A man in debt disappears. Years later, he considers reconnecting with his family, but his previous life takes him by surprise.
Nerd Reactor writes that a new international post has revealed the return of a fan-favorite Toho monster.
With Paranormal Activity coming out this weekend, Saw next weekend, and several big names coming after that. I don't think a film like this will do well. It has no marketing and nobody knows what it is, why waste money on it instead of these other big names?
It kinda missed the perfect time to release by like a week.
After the reviews and fan reaction to this film, I think this estimate is right for opening weekend, but i think the drop off will be even bigger. I think it will make around 10 million this weekend, then 5 or 6 next, then just disapear from box office. It merely came out at the wrong time, a time for Halloween movies, and has absolutely no marketing push behind it. Kinda sad to see this, but its not doing well.
I think it will be made up when it releases on DVD though, just like all Eastwood films.
