Another 'Jackass' Movie Could Be Coming Soon

Hollywood Reporter: "Want more Jackass? Don't worry, you most likely won't have to wait long.

After Jackass 3D exceeded expectations by raking in $50 million in its first weekend out, Paramount is considering what to do with its unused footage that didn't make it onscreen, the Los Angeles Times reports.

"We shot two movies' worth of footage," star Johnny Knoxville says. "We have so many bits that we never even turned in to Paramount because we were so swamped with ideas -- funny stuff. The bits were just coming out of us left and right."

Basically, from what Knoxville said, it will just be like Jackass 2.5. Somewhat of a behind the scenes things, with the extra footage thrown in to keep your interest. Not too excited, but the crew at least makes these films interesting.

In that case it would be something really cool to have on an extended dvd/blu-ray release. That way they could integrate the extra stunts and stuff they filmed into the movie, but then use all the behind the scenes stuff for the extras and bonus.

If they're going to do another one, then it needs to be an original, and developed entirely for that purpose. Putting out another film just because you have extra footage leftover is lazy and people will be able to easily notice the lack of effort. Unfortunately this happens in video games all to often too...like Super Mario Galaxy 2. Let's just avoid that.

From what im reading by Knoxville etc....its going to be marketed at Jackass 3.5. A Jackass 4 isn't even in the books just yet. In-fact along with the new footage, knoxville is hinting he is pretty much done with the stuff. Said he hurt himself really bad filming 3 and now its starting to take a toll on him etc...He never actually said anything in regards to that, but if we do see a Jackass 4 feel lucky and treat it as its the last film in the franchise. I don't see it going much further than that.

I could have sworn Knoxville was done already, until I heard about this film a while ago. Seriously, I thought he had already had interviews basically saying he was growing out of it and 'too old' for these sort of things now. Oh well, I guess sometimes it's hard to stay away from the things you used to do. Hopefully he does stop before he injures himself too bad.

I think a Jackass 3.5 would be fun, but just not on the big screen. Don't make us pay for another movie ticket for something like that. Put it on the DVD.
