DVD Talk Review: Zift

DVD Talk:

It's hard to find films that look as good as Zift. Some folks might be put off by the black and white presentation, but it is done extremely well here, and hearkens back to the days of Fritz Lang and John Huston. The mixing of noir standards with an ironically humorous look at Bulgaria under communist rule comes off beautifully. This is a fun movie that offers a sympathetic main character, a solid cast, and a little more intellectual heft than is normally found in this kind of picture. Highly recommended.
