Battlemouth writes: "Today, a friend and I were discussing what movie we wanted to go and see. As we perused the movie listings, we were simultaneously looking up the trailers for the films that we were unaware of. As we looked up trailer after trailer, I noticed an alarming trend. Teaser trailer, theatrical trailer, TV spots, clips from said film. After watching sometimes six or more different “previews”, I had felt like I had seen the movie already. Are these trailers actually destroying the concept of a preview, and becoming essentially short versions of the films they are advertising?"
