Mania: If nothing else, Shrek Forever After gets that nasty taste of Shrek the Third out of our mouths. It makes a more earnest attempt to entertain us, its intentions are slightly less mercenary, and if this is indeed the finale to the Shrek franchise, we can at least leave it on something approaching good terms.
