Starz Developing 6-Part Spartacus: Blood and Sand Prequel

If you are a fan of the Starz hit original series Spartacus: Blood and Sand then you will be happy to hear that the cable station is going to develop a 6-Part prequel to the TV series. This comes after the second season of the show had to be postponed so that the lead actor Andy Whitfield could take care of himself while he is being treated for Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.

I am looking forward to seeing more Batiatus story. It will be strange though, since one the best parts of the first season was watching him grow into power and menace, but maybe it was just unveiling what was already there. At any rate, I think it will be great!

I was pleasantly surprised by this series when it came out. I really didn't expect that much out of it (mostly just thought it would be a bad 'Rome' copy-cat), but it was a decent show.
