Hollow in the Land is quite compelling overall and feels incredibly raw and honest in its depiction of small-town, rural life. There are quite a few plot twists, though, and, oddly enough, the result is kind of heartwarming, leaving viewers with a sentimental feeling about forgiveness and family.
