Pretty hilarious article being that Rian Johnson directed the scene at the end of Force Awakens with Rey holding out the LS.

....and then utterly gutted any and all emotion from the scene to inject totally unnecessary sketch comedy. Took a very pivotal moment and basically pissed all over it, and his supposed childhood hero. Luke was made to look like a stooge in this movie. He did NOT get the respect, or send off that he wholly deserved.

How so? Luke went out pulling off the greatest Jedi feat of all time and saved the last of the Resistance while sparking the future to help build it back up. This was by far the best written and acted version of Luke Skywalker to date.

As for the sketch comedy, I don't get it. The closing scene in Force Awakens is by far the most iconic image from the entire film.

Did you guys forget JJ produced? Don't you think of he had issues with the way the film was going he wouldn't have signed in at all? Not too mention JJ was quoted as living the script and wishing he wouldn't have stepped down as director so soon.
