if people stopped nitpicking and didnt force movie execs to make dumb decisions, they wouldnt need plan B.
see heres the problem, marvel has their style, it works for them. DC never wanted to go that campy route and were going for a more darker tone because nolans batman movies were such a success. instead, when people seen superman, they wanted jokes. in justice league, they got jokes, they wanted a better villain. had they gone straight to darkseid, people would complain about them rushing things and not explaining who darkseid is or how he came to be or some other nonsense.

from the early justice league trailers before whedon took over, i really think they had a good movie going. but they decided to change up some of the characters personality, run time, etc etc. and this whole nonsense of "nobody wants to see a 3 hour movie" is utter rubbish. if the movie is good, nobody would mind. show me critics panning Titanic for being near 3 hours long, they used almost the first hour and a half explaining every character in the movie.

the only reason i can think of WB complaining about run time is that with a 2 hour movie, you can show more shows per day than a 3 hour movie which means more tickets sold = more movie sales. its as simple as that.
