Would you trust an Ohio hermit who drives a low rider and practices magick to build the violin for your next recital? A prize-winning Romanian soloist does just that in Stefan Avalos' Strad Style, a diverting doc that, for most of its running time, suggests the musician will regret his choice. Leaning toward the kind of check-out-this-weirdo mode that became fashionable in the 1990s, the film is ultimately more sympathetic to its strange protagonist. While it isn't completely satisfying, the picture has taken home jury and audience awards at Slamdance and elsewhere, and seems to have a long fest life ahead of it.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.

Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
