Legends of Tomorrow took a depressing but very necessary detour into darkness this week as Captain Cold made his long-awaited return and J.R.R. Tolkien lent a hand with the Spear of Destiny. The strained relationship between Mick and Snart fueled much of this episode's drama, but it made strong use of the WWI setting and Tolkien team-up to boot. Who knew the Legends have so much in common with those nasty Hobbitses?
