One could argue that Amazon's Prime Instant Video Service hasn't truly come into its own until it offers its own animated sitcom to compete with the Family Guys and Rick and Mortys and BoJack Horsemans of the TV world. Theoretically, The New V.I.P.'s will be that animated sitcom, assuming it makes it past the pilot stage. And that's still a pretty big assumption at this stage. The series boasts some fun ideas and wrinkles to the typical workplace comedy formula, but far too much generic comedy to truly stand out yet.
